This is a new category and the first listing is Dennis Severs’ house, a house frozen in time, in the East End of London. It’s a glimpse into the lives of a family of Hugenot silk-weavers from as far back as 1724.
At the moment, during the coronavirus lockdown, the house is not open to the public – but you can buy vouchers for future visits, which will help to keep the house going.
Another addition to this category is the Sir John Soane’s Museum, in Lincoln’s Inn Fields, an extraordinary house and museum, housing the collection of Sir John Soane.
